How to Make Crop Hybrids in SoS AWL
In Year Two Spring, Takakura will inform players that he somehow managed to grow a three-headed plant in his house named Vinnie. Then, by visiting Vinnie, you’ll be able to increase his friendship level.
Once you become friends, you’ll be able to make hybrid seeds in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life through Vinnie. Specifically, you’ll need to check the Resident Info menu and have Vinnie’s friendship meter become red.
Then, give Vinnie two different seeds or crops and he’ll combine them into one. Each time you get a new plant, Vinnie will tell you everything you need to know about it including when to grow it.
Best Crop Hybrids in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life
While there are a lot of crop fusions you can do, some manage to stand out due to their great selling price at the end. Here are the five best crop hybrids in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life:
5. Sweetmel
The Sweetmel is made by combining a Sweet Potato and a Melon and can be planted and harvested during Summer and Autumn.
At S-Tier, this crop can sell for 615g. Considering that an S-Tier Sweet Potato sells for 240 and an S-Tier Watermelon sells for 255, this is a significant upgrade in price.
4. Greentoma
Greentoma is the fusion of Tomato and Watermelon and can be grown in any season except Winter.
However, the Greentoma is a bit picky in terms of soil and cannot be planted anywhere around the farm; only in specific locations.
In terms of gold, you can expect to make 470g for B-Tier, 515g for A-Tier, and 560g for S-Tier
3. Carberry
The Carberry can be made by fusing a Carrot with a Strawberry and can be planted in every season except Summer.
Players can either use it in cooking or sell it directly for profit. Its selling price is 475/520/565g at B/A/S-Tier.
2. Melomelo
Melomelo is the combination of Melon and Watermelon and is an ideal crop to plant during the Spring and Summer seasons.
While it takes longer to grow compared to other crops, you can expect to make 545/590/635g at Tiers B/A/S.
1. Sweetoma
The best hybrid crop in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life is Sweetoma, which is the combination of the Sweet Potato and the Tomato. The best part is that it can be planted and grown in any season except Winter.
As for profit, the Sweetoma sells for 480/525/570g at B/A/S-Tier. While it’s less than the Melomelo, it grows significantly faster and can be planted during three seasons instead of two.
