Sarah Vivan is an American radio personality who is famous in Georgia for her work with various radio crews. Her radio career started in 2012 and since then she has held several positions including programming assistant and on-air personality.
Although it was her job as a media personality that made her famous in some circles, what made her even more famous was being the mom of American rapper Lil Wayne. More than that, the two fiances were once engaged before they finally called it quits.
Sarah Vivan Biography
Radio personality Sarah Vivan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 17, 1987. She was born to her parents, Jammie Ballew and Christina Tran. Of Vietnamese origin, she was raised alongside her two sisters, Elisabeth and Jayde Mauldin. The sisters are said to be quite close.
When she started out, her first choice in life had nothing to do with radio. In fact, what she wanted to become was a fashion designer, but when she went to school to study it, she realized that the passion for it was no longer there. Her friend then advised her to consider a career as a radio personality, advice which she followed and which changed her life.
For her education, she went to the University of Cincinnati where she studied fashion in hopes of becoming a stylist. She was there from 2005 to 2007. After deciding to become a media scientist, Sarah Vivan went to study radio and television broadcasting skills and techniques at the Atlantic Broadcasting Institute. She was there only one year from 2010 to 2011.
After her studies, she interned at ClearChannel Outdoor Global for eight months between 2011 and 2012, then she joined iHeartMedia, where she worked as a programming assistant for four months. From 2012 to 2016, she worked with Streetz 94.5 FM as an on-air personality, then much later, in 2018, she moved to Get Engaged Media, where she still works as Director of Partnerships. She has her show Shade 45 – Streetz Is Watchin which she hosts on SiriusXM. She has hosted the show since 2015.
His family life
Sarah Vivan places her life as a family woman above all else. She is the mother of two children, a boy and a girl, and she both builds her world.
Her first child, Essence Vivan was born in 2005 to an unnamed boyfriend. After Essence was born, Sarah, who still lived in Cincinnati, later met Lil Wayne at a nightclub after one of his concerts. The two became friends and soon started dating.
In 2008, the radio personality gave birth to her second child, Dwayne Michael Carter III, who is also Lil Wayne’s second child. Along with other family members, the kid is called Lil Tuney.
Although in 2007 Wayne and Sarah got engaged, they later separated. Nonetheless, they still remain friends as they raise their child together. Vivan always shares her photo with her children on her social media platforms.
