She was born in Bath, Somerset, England on 7. August 1978 to a British father and Jamaican mother. Although little is known about her early childhood or education, we do know that she spent most of her early life in Europe and later moved to America to pursue a career in the arts as a teenager. She attended the New World School of Arts in Miami, Florida. As Osborne reports, she did not settle well in her new environment and found it challenging to fit into liberal American society, especially when she had only known the conservative British environment. But as time went on, she soon embraced her new realities as an American.
